KaizenAnchoredTPO

KaizenAnchoredTPO is a drawing tool that counts TPOs between two anchors you place on the chart, showing how many time periods touched each price level inside the range.

Drawing tool: same anchor-placement concept as the Anchored Volume Profile but counts TPOs instead of volume. For each price level within the anchored range, it counts how many distinct sub-periods (30 min by default) touched it, regardless of the volume traded. Reveals time-based acceptance instead of contract-weighted. The sub-periods align to the clock (e.g. :00 and :30 in 30-minute mode).

What’s new in v1.8

• Value Area with a configurable percentage (default 70%) and a separate color for the VA blocks.
• VAH/VAL lines drawn between the anchors with their own configurable color.
• The labels say “TPO VAH” / “TPO VAL” (distinguishing them from the Anchored Volume Profile, which keeps “VAH”/“VAL”).

Interpretation

• TPO POC — the level with the most sub-period visits = the fair price in time of the anchored period. It usually differs from the volume POC.
• VAH/VAL — define the time-based comfort zone of the anchored range, the prices where the market spent N% of its time (default 70%).
• Single Prints — levels touched by a single sub-period. They mark one-sided moves; price tends to revisit them.
• Extended Single Prints — project across the chart panel, they become horizontal reversal targets.
• The TPO is less distorted by individual high-volume prints than the Volume Profile.

Settings

1. Calculation

• Sub-Period (Minutes) — Duration of each TPO slice. Default 30. Smaller = more sub-periods, finer detail, more meaningful single prints.
• Ticks per Row — Price-level aggregation. Default 1.
• Value Area % — Percentage of TPOs that form the Value Area (v1.8). Default 70 (Steidlmayer TPO standard).

2. Colors

• Outside VA Color — Color for TPO blocks outside the Value Area. Default DodgerBlue.
• VA Block Color — Color for TPO blocks inside the Value Area (v1.8). Default DeepSkyBlue.
• Single Print Color — Levels with TPO = 1. Default Silver.
• POC Color — TPO POC line. Default Gold.
• VAH/VAL Color — Color of the VAH and VAL lines (v1.8). Default Magenta.

3. Display

• Opacity % — TPO block transparency. Default 20.
• Block Width (px) — Width of each TPO block. Default 6. A level with 5 TPOs = 30px wide.
• Extend Singles — The single-print bars stretch as horizontal bands to the right edge. Default on.
• Show Labels — TPO POC, TPO VAH and TPO VAL labels to the right of the profile.
